In March of 2023 (following the 2022 split with parent company 2 Jakes Knives) career knifemaker Jacob Asuit founded Very Good Knife Company. Jacob's experience in bladesmithing is extensive and well rounded, having also worked with other makers as well as doing blade work for knife supply companies throughout his 13 years in full time knife making. From intricate custom work to repetitive production, he has worked thousands of blades to finish. His tenacity and dedication to the trade has been sufficient to call him a very good knife maker.

  For many people a knife is quite simply a tool you just can't live without, while some are more enthusiastic about collecting the most unique knives with a story in every piece. For every person willing to lay down the big bucks on a special custom knife there is a person who needs a knife they can depend on without breaking the bank. Our goal is simple, bring the world a Very Good knife for a Very Good price. And while we do not claim to make the 'best' knives, we do believe that our knives are worthy of that title, What one person considers to be the best the next person may not agree with, so we will leave that decision up to you. We just want our knives to make you smile and confidently say 'Yep! It's a very good knife.'. Most importantly we strive to be of the best service possible for you the consumer.
